2. Individual Psychotherapy

​​The purpose of individual therapy is to provide a supportive, secure, and confidential environment for individuals to explore their thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and experiences.

It aims to help individuals understand themselves better, address personal challenges, and develop healthier coping mechanisms. During our sessions, you will have the chance to gain insight into your thoughts and emotions, fostering self-awareness and understanding. This approach is particularly useful for managing mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship problems, or grief. By uncovering patterns and root causes of stress, we can develop more effective coping strategies to enhance your overall emotional well-being and quality of life.

capacity to develop new attitudes toward life's complexities, whether dealing with the impacts of past childhood experiences, navigating life's challenges, or seeking insights and tools for self-improvement. We believe in the power of therapy to promote healing and growth, and we are committed to assisting you on your journey to self-discovery and empowerment while helping you achieve emotional wellbeing.

Fee:

There is a sliding scale available. The low-cost rate is $120 per 50-minute session, and the standard-cost rate is $150 per 50-minute session. You can opt for either of these fees for your follow-up sessions after the initial session. 

  • Free 20-minute Virtual Consultation is encouraged to meet with your potential therapist. This is an opportunity to ask questions, discuss any challenges that brought you to therapy, share what you hope to get out of therapy, and ultimately see if your therapist is a good fit for your needs.

  • Initial Session must be completed first at the cost of $100.00. The intake assessment is an opportunity to get to know you better, including what has brought you to therapy and what you are hoping to get out of therapy (i.e., your goals).​

Introductory Session Package:

At this time, you can opt for a follow up session package at $60 per 50-minute session, up to 10 sessions. This does not include the Initial Session. After a maximum of 10 sessions have concluded, the fee will increase to the sliding scale options outlined in the section above.

Low-Cost Options

Finances should not prevent anyone from accessing mental health services. Lotus Essence Counselling & Psychotherapy provides low-cost options if you're facing financial difficulties. In today's economy, financial stress is a common challenge, and we believe that the cost of therapy shouldn't add to that burden.
